What you’ll do:
In this role, you will:
<ul>
<li>support the General Counsel as in-house legal advisor to REINSW</li>
<li>provide legal advice on legislation, contracts and commercial arrangements, privacy, real estate issues and compliance matters</li>
<li>review and draft legal documents of all different kinds</li>
<li>help ensure REINSW’s agency forms and agreements remain current, compliant and commercially practical</li>
<li>work on diverse projects, expanding your knowledge and skills in an exciting and diverse role</li>
<li>analyse legislative and policy developments affecting the real estate industry</li>
<li>contribute to training materials, member resources and best-practice guidance</li>
<li>brief external lawyers, where required</li>
<li>supervise, mentor and review the work of junior team members</li>
<li>assist with policy development, submissions, position papers and consultation responses</li>
<li>manage legal workflows, deadlines, priorities and document control across the legal function.</li>

 What we’re looking for:
A commercially minded lawyer who enjoys variety, accountability and making a difference. To be successful in this role, you will have:
<ul>
<li>a law degree - LLB</li>
<li>admission as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW</li>
<li>a current unrestricted practising certificate</li>
<li>7–10+ years PQE</li>
<li>strong drafting, research and issue or risk-spotting capability</li>
<li>confidence interpreting legislation and translating it into practical guidance</li>
<li>experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers</li>
<li>strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities</li>
<li>an interest in the real estate industry, property regulation and industry advocacy</li>
<li>exceptional attention to detail</li>
<li>self-motivated and uses initiative</li>
